A Letter From Rosemary Gladstar
“As with any good teacher, plants rarely teach us what we think we want to learn, instructing us instead, in the things we really need to know”
~ Kiva Rose, herbalist
Dear Friends,
Winter greetings. While we know many of you may still be busy with autumn projects, cutting back your gardens and enjoying the warmth of a late Indian Summer, here on Sage Mountain we have already had our first snows, the gardens are ‘put to bed’ and ready for their long winter rest, and our pantry is overflowing with garden produce, dried herbs, and a wonderful variety of herbal products to get us ~ and family & friends ~ through the long season ahead. It is always with a deep sigh that ‘we let go’ and hunker down for the big snows, and stormy weather that winter always brings. Even our mildest winters on this mountain, are wild! But we look forward to this natural cycle of rest and renewal, the deep stillness and the journey inward that this season of the north, ‘the looks within time’ brings.
Each year at this time, we offer a Special Discount on The Science & Art of Herbalism, our popular home study course. Winter is a perfect time to study and there’s no better nor heartful study than the beautiful and healing world of plants. The Herbal Home Study Course also makes one of the most meaningful and lasting Christmas gifts you can give ~ either for yourself or a special loved one. The Course emphasizes self care, home health, and self reliance all invaluable tools that are essential at this time on earth. More than any other system of healing, herbalism teaches us to take care of ourselves, our families and the earth and offers a low cost alternative to health care that is both sustainable and renewable. I joyfully invite you to join me on this amazing journey into the Green Nations…... To find out more about the Correspondence Course Special, please visit our website;www.sagemountain.com.
All of us at Sage Mountain wish you a very special and peaceful winter season, filled with inner light, well being, and radiance. .
Green Blessings,
Rosemary Gladstar
“To become a true herbalist means to commune in receptive awareness with the plant-light of the universe. It is to learn to listen when the plant speaks, to speak to the plant as to another human being, and to look upon it as one’s teacher”
